Bendigo - Regional Victoria

Group Social Visit

Saturday 16 & Sunday 17 September

Join Us for a Group Social Gathering and
Visit to Bendigo & The Stupa of Universal Compassion

We're excited to announce that in September we'll be organising a weekend social gathering and excursion to visit the vibrant old mining town of Bendigo in regional Victoria as well as the largest Buddhist Stupa in the Southern hemisphere.

After several personal trips to Bendigo over the last 2 years, we've discovered that this vast Buddhist site and peace gardens on the outskirts of Bendigo has a significant and purposeful connection to the work of our Telos community and our quest to connect with the higher-sources of spirituality, compassion, love and Christ consciousness.

Whether you choose to join us just for the day or the entire weekend, this will be a fantastic opportunity to get away and explore the central goldfields area of Victoria as well as some high energy sites within the Macedon Ranges.

Your Options to Join Us for the Weekend

As this is NOT a formal retreat (but a social gathering/weekend), we've left it open for you to choose how you would like to join or connect with us on the weekend.

Option 1: Join us for the 2 days: We'll be leaving around 9.30am on the Saturday morning and heading to Bendigo via Kyneton. We'll be staying in Bendigo just for the Saturday night and leaving Bendigo around 11.30am Sunday to head to Woodend/Macedon before heading home.

Option 2: Join us on Saturday for Brunch and the Stupa Visit only: Feel free to also join us just for the Saturday in Bendigo if you wish. We'll be meeting in Kyneton for brunch and then heading into Bendigo around lunchtime. We aim to visit the Stupa from around 1.30pm - 3.30pm.

Accommodation for the Weekend

As we will only be in Bendigo for the night and this is not a formal retreat, we will NOT be organising individual or group accommodation for the weekend.

So if you do wish to join us for the Saturday night and stay over in Bendigo make sure to hop onto some of the accommodation booking sites early like Booking.com, Wotif, AirB&B etc and see what is available.

Being willing to room share or drive up with others will also help you to reduce some of the costs and provide company on the drive.

Note: Ela and Les will be staying at the Mercure Schaller Art hotel in the centre of town near the arts district. Make sure to check out and download the Itinerary for some other accommodation suggestions nearby.
